About Reverse MIDI
Reverse MIDI is a minimal Ableton Live 12 Extension that adds a "Reverse Notes" action to the right-click menu of any MIDI clip. It mirrors every note's timing within the span of the existing notes (earliest start to latest end), preserving each note's pitch and duration, as a single undo step.
Use it: right-click any MIDI clip with notes and choose "Reverse Notes". The notes flip end-to-front in one step, and Cmd+Z reverts it.
Install: download reverse-midi-1.0.0.ablx from the Releases page, open Settings → Extensions in Live, drag the .ablx onto the page and enable it. Restart Live if prompted.
Requires Ableton Live 12.4.5 Suite (beta) or later. The source lives in the same GitHub repository as the author's other extensions (chords, progressive, ambient).
How to install
- Download the extension from the author's link above.
- In Ableton Live 12 Suite (beta 12.4.5+), open Settings → Extensions and add the
.ablxfile. - Right-click a midi clip in your Set and pick Reverse MIDI from the menu.
Extensions run real code on your computer. Only install extensions from authors you trust, and save your Set first. More on safety →
